LIFE SCIENCES

QSI RS Series cameras are used worldwide in a wide variety of life science applications, from fluoroscopy to spectroscopy.  With their exceptionally low noise, high sensitivity from UV up to near IR (240nm-1100nm), 16-bit dynamic range, precisely regulated cooling, QSI cameras excel at medical and life science applications.  Coupled with their low profile, optional mechanical shutter and internal color filter wheel, liquid heat exchanger and low power requirements, the QSI RS Series can be integrated in lab environments or used in stand-alone applications that would be impossible for many other cameras.

QSI RS Series cameras offer 16-bit output and high speed reads with ROI frame rates up to 20 fps. Electronic input and output triggers with latency as low as 5µsec allow precise exposure timing and triggering of external events such as strobes. RS 4.2 and RS 2.0 models support Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) exposure mode for flow visualization with two exposures as close together as 100µsec.
