QSI 700 Series
700 Series
For nearly 20 years, QSI Imaging has been synonymous with premium, high-quality cameras for astronomers and astrophotographers. In 2024, we are excited to introduce the 700 Series, setting a new standard in imaging performance.
In two decades, the world of astrophotography has evolved beyond recognition. Today, QSI Imaging cameras feature back-illuminated CMOS sensors with native 16-bit digitization, delivering exceptional quantum efficiency of 90% and lightning-fast readout speeds of 120 million pixels per second over USB3—performance that was once unimaginable.
Despite these incredible advancements, what remains unchanged is our commitment to integrated design, meticulous attention to detail, and bulletproof reliability.
With the 700 Series, we’ve taken our best technology and refined it for optimal performance. Each camera is equipped with mechanically indexed filter wheels, ensuring the most precise positioning for perfect flat fields.
The fused silica window is dew-resistant and coated on both sides with a high-transmission anti-reflective coating, reducing halos and maximizing image clarity. The cameras also feature a highly efficient 2-stage Peltier cooler, drawing less current while providing superior cooling performance compared to other models.
QSI 760
The QSI 760 is our flagship camera, featuring the full-frame IMX455 sensor, widely regarded as the premium sensor for astronomers. Known for its exceptional performance, the IMX455 delivers unrivaled image quality and sensitivity, making it the ideal choice for serious astrophotographers.
The integrated 2”/50mm filter wheel is designed to minimize back focus, ensuring the widest compatibility with focal reducers. This feature, combined with the camera’s thoughtful design, reduces cable clutter, enhancing usability. With 2 USB2 inputs and a power-out socket, the QSI 760 simplifies connections, while threaded power sockets ensure maximum reliability for long-lasting, stable performance.
QSI 726
The QSI 726 is the optimal camera for most astronomical telescopes, offering exceptional performance in a compact design. Featuring the 28mm diagonal IMX571 sensor, it captures the sharpest parts of your telescope’s image, with reduced sensitivity to coma and vignetting compared to larger sensors. This makes it ideal for delivering high-quality results with a wide range of setups.
Like its flagship sibling, the QSI 760, the QSI 726 reduces cable clutter with an integrated 36mm filter wheel, 2 USB2 inputs, and a power-out socket. The threaded power sockets ensure maximum reliability, providing a stable, long-lasting connection for all your astrophotography needs.
