CEDIC – The Conference – Linz, Austria: Fri 22nd – Sun 24th of March 2024
The Central European Deepsky Imaging Conference (CEDIC) was introduced in 2009 by the three Austrian hobby – Astropphotographers Christoph Kaltseis, Herbert Raab and Wolfgang Leitner. It was the first international astronomical imaging conference throughout Europe and their personal contribution to the International Year of Astronomy 2009. Certainly it was not an accident that the date of the CEDIC encountered with the “100 Hours of Astronomy”. Far from it! The organizers also wanted to support this project of the IYA with their conference.
The Practical Astronomy Show – Coventry, UK: Sat 23rd March 2024 9am-5pm. The show is FREE to attend, with FREE parking.

The Practical Astronomy Show brings a selection of leading astronomy businesses, organizations and educational institutions together under one roof, for one day. Astronomy products and services will be available for purchase from various stands. Organizations involved in astronomy education, outreach and tourism will be available to meet and greet the general public. The show is free to attend for the general public, and there will be free talks* about the practical aspects of astronomy with an emphasis on using and getting the best out of astronomy products under nighttime (or daytime!) skies.
* Talks cannot be booked in advance. Tickets for the talks will be available at the show, strictly on a one-per-person basis. We suggest arriving at the show early to get your tickets. Food and drink are on sale at the show, and there is of course full access for disabled persons.
